Welcome to The Rutherford Clinic. Our new facility is a collaboration between the local gastroenterologists Dr Stephen Inns, Dr Jeff Wong, Dr Richard Stein and Dr Ian Wilson, Mr John Groom , Dr John Wyeth ,Dr Arjun Sugumaran , Dr Sylvia Wu, Mr Amit Reddy, Dr Sophia Savva , Mr James Tietjens and Southern Cross Healthcare. We aim to work with you and your patients to provide efficient, high quality Gastrointestinal services and achieve the best possible outcomes.

Our focus is prompt access to Endoscopy services and/or specialist assessment.

Referrals

You can refer your patients directly to The Rutherford Clinic.

Referrals can be made through our electronic referral system using Healthlink (E-Referral).
Our Healthlink ID is sxhospru.

  • Referrals are processed in a secure, fast and efficient manner. You will be notified as soon as a referral has been received.

Results

We have implemented Medtech Evolution as our patient management system, allowing us to communicate with you directly. We will have the ability to communicate results and reports directly back to you using a secure portal.

CME sessions

We are again hosting the second series of CME events in November 2020 for all our GP colleagues. These sessions will be designed in consultation with GP’s and will be eligible for CME points through the University of Otago.
