About Caroline
Caroline is a Gastroenterologist and Endoscopist who graduated from the University of Auckland with distinction, and completed vocational (specialist) registration with the Royal Australasian College of Physicians. She undertook further overseas fellowships as the Senior Inflammatory Bowel Disease and Endoscopy Fellow at Addenbrooke’s Hospital, Cambridge, UK; as well as Intestinal Ultrasound training at Mater Health in Brisbane.
Caroline has a special interest in inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) and is active in IBD research. She has published, peer-reviewed, and is a member of both national and international IBD working groups. She is also trained in capsule endoscopy, intestinal ultrasound, diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopy, and is a national bowel screening endoscopist. Caroline is passionate about providing thorough, patient-focused care, and believe that patient values should guide clinical decisions.
Outside of work, she is obsessed with her two ragdoll cats Dumpling and Noodle; and has also amassed an impressive indoor plant collection!
